Though not very heavy on the science, this little talk does a nice job of opening up a lot of questions about the nature and evolutionary history of love and other complimentary emotions.

I’m often amazed at the technology I see presented during TED talks. None so much as this presentation by Alan Russell on the future of regenerative medicine. The whole part about intestinal material acting as a catalyst for natural cellular regrowth is just wild. We can regrow freakin’ fingertips!

Al Gore gives another fantastic and truly inspirational presentation at TED. I can’t say enough how a genuine voice like this is needed in the American government today. You can almost feel the intensity behind his words.
Pamelia Kurstin’s TED Performance
Could she be any cuter?
All crushing aside… that’s really impressive control over a very difficult instrument. I’ve attempted to play a theremin a couple of times and can tell you she makes it look easier than it is by many orders of magnitude. I couldn’t imagine playing music that emotional and keeping that still at the same time. There’s no way I could do it. I move too much just playing single hand melodies.
