Orangutan Spear Hunter
This is just hella-cool!
An Orangutan has been seen attempting to spear fish with a pole in Borneo on the island of Kaja. This is the first time an orangutan has been seen using a tool to hunt.
This individual had seen locals fishing with spears on the Gohong River.
Although the method required too much skill for him to master, he was later able to improvise by using the pole to catch fish already trapped in the locals’ fishing lines.

A Second, Last Supper
Just spotted this promotional image for the fourth and final season of Sci-Fi channel’s brilliant series Battlestar Galactica. There’re rumors that the image holds clues to some of the secrets to be revealed during the final season. This image can be added to the list of last suppers I’d actually own.

Hebes Chasma in 3D
This amazing 3D image of the Hebes Chasma, a mountainous area inside the deepest canyon on Mars, has been generated using high definition images taken by the High Resolution Stereo Camera (HRSC) on board ESA’s Mars Express orbiter.
I’m constantly in awe over images like this. Truly breathtaking. That’s science for you.
