The Moon Transits The Earth
EPOXI, the repurposed and renamed Deep Impact spacecraft, turned back towards Earth last May and captured images of the Moon passing by. Don Lindler put together an animation (below) of the entire transit.

Tour Of Earth’s Cities At Night
This is just too impressive not to share. On their own time, astronauts on the International Space Station have been building a massive collection of images of Earth’s cities at night. Almost everyone has seen the famous black & white image of Earth at night but these are excellent resolution color images. Stunning is probably the best word to describe this.
